Delhi Shimla Spiti Manali Bike Tour Spiti Valley is a cold desert mountain valley located high in the Himalayas in the north-eastern part of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The name "Spiti" means "The middle land", i.e. the land between Tibet and India.
Local population follow Vajrayana Buddhism similar to that found in the nearby Tibet and Ladakh regions. The valley and surrounding region is one of the least populated regions in India and is the gateway to the northernmost reaches of the nation. Along the northern route from Manali, Himachal Pradesh or Keylong via the Rohtang Pass or Kunzum Pass respectively, the valley lies in the North Eastern section of the Indian state Himachal Pradesh, and forms part of the Lahaul and Spiti district. The sub-divisional headquarters (capital) is Kaza, Himachal Pradesh which is situated along the Spiti River at an elevation of about 12,500 feet (3,800 m) above mean sea level.
Activities
Itinerary Day 01: Delhi - Chandigarh Upon your arrival at Chandigarh you will meet our representatives who will brief you about the entire trail and then after that the group will drive towards Chandigarh, on the way passing through Ambala and Karnal. After reaching you will check-in to the hotel and have some rest. In the evening time, meet the bike experts and head for a small test ride in the nearby area of the hotel. We will stay overnight at the hotel in Chandigarh.
Day 02: Chandigarh - Shimla (100 kilometers/3to 4 hours) Today, in the morning after having health breakfast we will start off the bike safari excursion in the direction of Shimla passing through Solan & Kalka. After reaching we will check-in to the hotel. We will stay overnight at the hotel in Shimla.
Day 03: Shimla - Sarahan (175 kilometers/5to 6 Hours) On this day, it will be a moderate ride through the remarkable greenery, mountains and smooth roads and today will offer you an opportunity to get used to riding the bike and taking in the picturesque backdrop all around us. Sarahan is a captivating hill village and here our stay is complimented by the mesmerising vistas of the landscapes. Upon arrival, we will check-in to the hotel.
Day 04: Sarahan - Sangla (95 kilometers/3 hours) After having healthy breakfast in the morning, we will visit the prominent historical Bhimakali temple which has impressive architecture and then from here riding your bike and head towards the captivating Sangla valley from the verdant mountains to the barren region like glance of Sangla, from this location you will witness the changes in the backdrop and the path leads us to the Sangla Valley, where you can capture some fantastic scenery backdrop of the strikingly magnificent location. We will relax and stay for the tonight in a camp situated in Sangla.
Day 05: Sangla - Nako (135 kilometers/5 hours) Today we will proceed in the direction of Nako. On the way our trail, we will also visit the convergence of Rivers Spiti and Satluj at Khab. Nako is magnificent village located near on the banks of lake. After reaching the location, we will set up the camp.
Day 06: Nako - Tabo (70 kilometers/ 2½ hours) In today's trail, we will, travel towards Tabo and travel around the famous Tabo monastery. This monastery is more than a 1000 years old and is renowned for its impressive wall paintings and notable mural. This place is also well-known as the Ajanta of the Himalayas. We will then set up, our camp close to the Tabo village.
Day 07: Tabo - Kaza (81 kilometers/4 hours) You have taken an amazing bike tour and ridden all the way through the Kinnaur and Baspa Valley's. Afterwards, from here, we will move ahead and hit the incredible trail of rousing Spiti Valley, and a small township of Tabo. This town has not changed since ages and it is the place where you will come across the second most significant Buddhist Monastery, to that of the Tholong Gompa situated in Tibet. This 10th century built Tabo Monastery houses around 60 Lamas and preserves the old scriptures and ancient artifacts. This is a wonderful place to explore and to take some time out and unwind in the midst serene surrounds.
Day 08: Kaza On this day, we will visit the Ki monastery the biggest monastery located on the top of the hill offering fabulous picturesque views from the location and then, we will move ahead forward from the Kibber village which is positioned just a few miles from the monastery. We will stay overnight in the guest house.
Day 09: Kaza - Manali (200 kilometers/7 to 8 hours) Today's trail will be quite fascinating. We will today travel in the direction of Manali passing through the Kunzum Pass & Rohtang Pass and Gramphu. The on the route the drive offers you with some impressive panorama of the rock-strewn Spiti valley, the Barashigri Glacier, and C B ranges. We will stay overnight at a hotel.
Day 10: Manali - Chandigarh In the early morning after having healthy breakfast get ready to move ahead for the next destination Chandigarh riding through the exquisitely stunning valley of Kullu. We will stay overnight at a hotel in Chandigarh.
Day 11: Chandigarh - Delhi In the morning after having wholesome breakfast we will leave Chandigarh and proceed towards Delhi by car.
